Chapter 4 :Curiosity

Meanwhile, Henry was having dinner at James'' house.

James'' mom was already planning to cook the seafood herself, and hearing that Henry was coming over, she got even more enthusiastic and prepared a feast.

When Mr. Wright came home from work and saw the spread, he was taken aback and laughed, "I was wondering why it was so lavish today. It''s because Henry is here."

"Mr. Wright." Henry, who was playing video games on the couch with James, quickly got up to greet him.

Mr. Wright nodded, handed his coat to the maid, said a few words to James, and then went to the kitchen.

James was busy playing the game and didn''t pay any attention to his dad.

"Henry, what are you spacing out for? We''re about to die! Hurry, hurry, hurry!"

Henry took his eyes off the kitchen, sat back on the couch, and focused on the game screen.

"You''re terrible at this," Henry said mercilessly.

"Yes, yes, yes, so come save me, bro!"

From the kitchen came the faint sound of conversation mixed with the sound of running water. It was rare for Mrs. Wright to cook herself, and the atmosphere in the villa was lively.

In addition to seafood, there was also porridge, and other maids were busy washing ingredients.

Henry quickly defeated the boss, threw down the controller, and said, "You play by yourself. I''m going outside for some fresh air."

"Hey!" James was happy for only a few seconds before he saw Henry get up and leave.

"What''s up with him, getting upset again," James muttered to himself, deciding not to call him back.

Henry was actually quite reserved, and it was hard for most people to notice his mood changes, but James had known him since they were kids and could tell at a glance when something was bothering him.

But at times like this, James didn''t dare to bother him.

James, who wasn''t very good at video games, obediently chose the lowest difficulty level.

After playing a few rounds, the seafood and hotpot were ready.

"James, you''re still playing games? Go call Henry, it''s time to eat." Mrs. Wright walked over to the couch and ruffled her son''s soft hair.

James put on his coat and went out to find Henry.

Henry was already walking back from the small garden, wearing just a black sweater without a coat. James felt cold just looking at him and quickly pulled him into the house.

"Hurry up, it''s time to eat. It''s so cold outside, you''ll catch a cold."

 "Don''t worry, I''m very healthy."

Mr. Wright, Mrs. Wright, and the two kids sat at one table, while the others sat at another. The porridge and hotpot were steaming, bubbling, and giving off a tempting aroma.

"My Hairy Crab!" James eagerly started to dismantle the crab.

"Henry, try the fish Auntie made. It''s the first time I''ve made this kind of fish. See if you like the taste." Mrs. Wright used the serving chopsticks to give him a piece of fish, then looked at James, who was focused on the crab, "James, do you want some?"

 "Yes, Mom, give me more."

 "There''s plenty, enough for you."

After devouring the food, James slumped in his chair, rubbing his belly, and sighed, "That was delicious. I''m stuffed."

Mrs. Wright instructed someone to cut some fruit and poured herself a cup of tea, teasing him, "It''s not like you don''t eat well usually. You look like a starving ghost. Look at Henry, he''s not like you."

Henry smiled faintly at her words.

James was used to his mom praising Henry and waved it off nonchalantly, "Too bad your son is me. Face reality, Mom!"

"Watch your mouth," Mr. Wright said as he walked past and gave him a light tap on the head.

"Hmph, I''m not talking to you two old-timers. Let''s go, Henry, let''s go back to my room and continue playing games."

James pulled Henry back to his room.

Henry paused at the door for a few seconds and sighed.

No matter how many times he came, he still couldn''t get used to James'' room decor.

The walls of the room were almost completely covered, either with posters or various photos and cards. A large desk took up a significant portion of the space, mostly filled with figurines and hardly any books, with a colorful lamp on top.

In the corner, there was a speaker and a guitar, along with a pile of stuffed animals.

Amidst the clutter, there was a certain sense of order.

"Come on, let''s play PUBG," James said, pushing him into his specially made chair and putting the headset on him.

Henry played games with him for about an hour before getting ready to go home.

There was still some time left, just enough to go back and finish his homework.

"I''m heading back," Henry said, taking off his headphones. "No need to see me off, I''ll go back myself."

Henry went to the living room, said goodbye to the two of them, declined their offer to have a driver take him home, and walked out of the villa gate by himself.

Redwood Garden was a very large villa community, but not many people lived there.

Each villa was very spacious, with its own small garden and excellent landscaping.

Henry''s house was just above James''s, not too far, but walking there still took some time.

However, Henry enjoyed this time alone.

Especially now, with the sky dark, the villa area was quiet without a sound, only the shadows cast by the streetlights keeping him company.

Henry stared at the deep and shallow shadows, walking step by step.

Occasionally, a cold wind would blow, lifting his hair and rustling the nearby treetops.

Henry looked up at the sky and was surprised to see the moon tonight.

Small, crescent-shaped, and inconspicuous, like a scimitar.

He thought of the guy he met today who looked like a hamster.

 Leonard.

The name sounded so familiar, had he heard it somewhere else before...

At first, Henry couldn''t remember who this person was, but later he matched the name and realized that the person he saw fighting outside the window yesterday was also him.

This person was very inconspicuous in Class Three, probably many teachers and classmates didn''t even know him.

Henry only knew him because he was the class president and had memorized everyone''s names.

But he still felt like he had heard the name somewhere before, and that face seemed somewhat familiar.

But this person always kept his head down and dressed thickly, making it hard to see his face clearly.

Henry clicked his tongue, took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, pulled out one, and lit it, shielding it from the wind, then slowly put it in his mouth.

Today, he seemed to be avoiding him, right?

Leonard, how will you use this opportunity?

After all, you discovered my biggest secret...
